7 Mountain Prayers: Praying for Our Pastors

“Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.  He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught,  so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.”  Titus 1:7-9

As we focus on the Church Mountain this week, Father, we bring before You the elders of this city/county  –  our pastors.  May our prayers form a shield of protection about them.

Thank You, Lord, for [name your pastor(s)]  and all the pastors of this region.  We pray for them to be equipped and empowered by Your Spirit in their calling and gifting. Heb. 13:20-21  Give them discernment and sensitivity to what is pleasing to You.  Phil. 1:9-11  May they continue to know and live in the unconditional love of You, Father, and the freedom of Jesus. I John 3:1-2  Gal. 5:1

We pray for opportunities for them to fellowship with each other in safe places of openness and refreshment.  May our pastors, the elders of this city; walk in in love, unity, forgiveness and honor towards each other. Col. 3:14

Keep them true to their God-given purpose in ministry and help them guard and prioritize their time. I Cor. 15:58  We bless them with joy, peace, and victory in ministry in spite of difficulties and pressures. Phil. 4:6-8   II Cor. 1:9-12

As Your people, we link our shields of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked against the pastors of the Church of Huntsville/Madison County. (Eph. 6:10)

“Shepherd the flock of God among you….casting all your care upon Him for He cares for you.” I Peter 5:2, 7
