Prayers for Arts & Entertainment: Release the Sound

“For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people;  but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.  The Gentiles shall come to your light..”   Isa. 60:2-3

Father, we want to pray Your love and light over the entertainers and festival attenders for the new four-day Fireside Music Festival August 9-12 at MidCity Huntsville.  Organizers hope that this festival will one day become a regional draw like Big Spring Jam.  We commit that to You, Lord.   Music and sound have an important influence over people and cities.  We want Your sounds here!

 

We thank You for the three-day Christian music and prayer event, Release the Sound, happening August 18-20.  (See flyer below for details.)  Use this gathering of worshipers to counter the darkness and bring more of all that You are to our region, Jesus.

We thank You, Lord, for the anointing of Your Glory that is pouring out upon Christian musicians and artists who You have called for the purpose of bringing Your light and love into dark and broken places in this city.  It’s a special calling, and we ask that You give Church leadership the discernment to recognize it and help prepare and launch these ones that You are maturing to send as representatives who bring the atmosphere of the Kingdom into every mountain of culture.
