Prayers for Our City: April 11, 2016-Seven Mountain Prayer
”He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul….” Psalm 23:2-3
It is very important to the Lord that His children rest. All good parents are concerned that their little ones are getting enough rest; and He is no different. So this week we are taking a rest from our usual prayer assignment over the 7 Mountains of culture in Huntsville/Madison County to allow our good Shepherd to restore and refresh us. Enjoy reading through the 23rd Psalm (the Passion translation) as you imagine that beautiful place of meeting with Jesus.
Thank You, Lord for loving me with an everlasting love that gives me a future and a hope. With lovingkindness You have drawn me to Yourself. I look carefully and intently at the manner of love that You, Father, have poured out upon me. It is through this love that You called me to be Your child. I am completely and fully accepted in You, my God and Savior.
Nothing can separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus my Lord. Your love towards me is patient and kind. Your love for me bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. Your love will never fail. Your love for me is so rich that Your gave Your only begotten Son. Because of this, I will never perish but will have everlasting life with You. As a result of Your great love for me, I have an unbreakable, eternal covenant with You. Through this covenant of love, You have put Your laws in my heart and have written Your commandments upon my mind.
I have been invited to the Lord’s banqueting table and Your banner over me is love! Through intimate love, You draw and invite me to follow after You. I am fair and pleasant to You. I am rooted and grounded in Your love. I have been called to know this rich love that surpasses knowledge so that I may be filled with all Your fullness! I truly am the object of Your love and affection.
Your perfect love casts out fear in me and enables me to be a passionate lover of You and others. Love is my greatest aim in life!
