Prayers for Our City: December 11, 2017

“Rise up and help us; rescue us because of Your unfailing love.”  Ps. 44:26

Father, the Christmas season seems to highlight our emotions, whether high or low.  This week we pray Your peace and comfort over those in Huntsville/Madison County who are broken hearted, grieving the loss of loved ones, lonely, going through painful family issues, unemployed, suffering with on-going health issues, or struggling with depression.  Thank You that the true meaning and message of the advent season is that You are with us.  Thank You that Your unfailing love cannot fail us.  Give our families grace to believe that we can transfer all our trust to Your heart of love.

[Not only pray for those you know in these circumstances, but think of a way to show our Father’s love to them in a practical way this season.]
