Prayers for Our City: Education February 22, 2016

“Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matt. 11:29

We pray, Lord, for Your blessing and favor on the Collegiate Day of Prayer (CDOP) Thursday, Feb. 25. Thank You for this annual designated day (fourth Thursday of February) for believers across the nation to unite and cover every campus in America in prayer. We ask that the spark from this one-day initiative will ignite a fire storm of prayer for our colleges and universities.

How we praise You for the prayer movement that is being birthed on our campuses in the form of Houses of Prayer and Prayer Furnaces, as well as the years of faithful prayer from the campus ministry organizations. We ask for increase in number and power!

Thank You for the privilege of covering our own area colleges and universities with Your peace, protection, purity, provision and PRESENCE! We humbly ask You to answer prayer on behalf of A&M, Calhoun, Faulkner, Drake State, Oakwood, UAH, Virginia College, Strayer, Florida Tech – Huntsville. We welcome You, Lord Jesus, to visit each campus bringing a fresh revelation of the unfailing love, comfort and adoption of the Father through faith in You.

Pray as Holy Spirit leads for one or all of these campuses that exist as communities within our community; that God would prepare the next generation of leaders that will impact all 7 Mountains of culture in our city and the cities of our nation.

If you would like to join in the prayer drive that will take place to cover the above listed schools, please meet in the parking lot of the Baptist student center at UAH (corner of Holmes and Sparkman) this Thursday at 1:30 pm. We will combine 3 or 4 people to a car, give out school assignments, praise and pray as we drive to and through the campuses (should be done by 2:30-3:00 depending on number of participants).
