Prayers for Our City: September 18, 2017 – Businesses

 

Father, we thank You this week for the Women’s Economic Development Foundation (WEDC) whose mission is to empower women in our community to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence by providing mentors, professional networking, development programs, and flexible financial assistance. We cover this organization with Your wisdom, guidance, compassion and provision and pray that every member will be impacted by Your love. [see website http://www.wedc-online.net ] We bless the Board of Directors as the organization celebrates its 25th anniversary.

We pray that WEDC’s signature fundraiser, Women Honoring Women, will be a huge success this week (9/21 VBC North Hall) so that the funds raised can provide educational scholarships and assistance for women living, working and going to school in Madison, Marshall, Morgan and Limestone counties. Use these resources to change lives and enable women to be valuable assets to the workforce here where they live.

Since this fundraising event recognizes successful women in our community for their career success, their significant contributions to the community and overcoming their own obstacles to achieve their dreams, we also want to thank You, Lord, for their lives and for enabling them to have a testimony that helps other women.
