  • Tell us about yourself

My name is Allen Pedram and I pastor the Huntsville campus with the aim to see people saved, delivered, redeemed and fulfilled in Christ. I enjoy anything involving athletics and competition as well as perfecting my iron chef skills. I love my church because of the way my life has been impacted when Highlands brought me in as family after I moved to Alabama to intern with the church in 2006. Highlands has also served as the place for me to meet my wife Katy and begin a family of our own.

  • What motivates you to do what you do?

The motivation I need in order to passionately pastor people in this city comes from a vision to see the great commission fulfilled in this generation.

  • What is God speaking to you right now?

God is speaking to me about the church and how we really can change the world if we refuse to let the world change us. There may be shifts in culture and new challenges that we face but there is no need to be afraid. Culture may change but God doesn’t. God still gives us access to everything we need in order to accomplish all that He has called us to in 2015.

Ephesians 1:22-23 (MSG) 22 He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. 23 The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.

  • What does unity in our city mean to you?

Unity in our city demands that the church set the example in being known by what we are for instead of what we are against.

  • Prayer for the City

Father I pray that the name of Jesus would be glorified and worshipped above every other name in the city of Huntsville and the surrounding areas.

I pray that all people would be drawn to you by the power of your love and kindness that leads people to repentance.

For every broken home bring unity and redemption. In young people establish their identity and faith in Jesus. Within individual people overwhelmed with addiction send healing and freedom. Help those who are in leadership positions to serve us according to the standards of The Bible.

For the church I pray that you would give us power to be a witness. Guide us in everyday life. Enable and strengthen us. Give us victory in spiritual warfare. Make us holy and stable in our walk with you. I pray for discernment amongst your people and freedom in worship as we exalt Christ Jesus.

Show us what does not belong in our heart. Change us to look more like you. Fill us with your Spirit in Jesus name Amen.
