Prayer for Our City: April 18, 2016-Seven Mountain Prayer For Our City and Country

“If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face,
and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” —2 Chronicles 7:14, NKJV

Father God, we pray for the Body of Christ of our city to stand for Jesus Christ. Enable us by Your Spirit to live out our faith with boldness. May our prayers of repentance and our lives of commitment to Your Word turn Huntsville/Madison County to Your righteousness and truth.

Thank You for those of us who were able to attend and represented our city at the Decision America Tour led by Franklin Graham this past Thursday. Thank You for forgiving as we repented. Thank You for hearing our cry that the Church will awaken and take needed action to protect the freedoms You gave us. Thank You for Your faithfulness in giving us power and boldness to share the Good News of the Kingdom!

Below are the two pledges that many Americans will be making before God as Mr. Graham stands at every state capitol in this nation to call us to prayer and action. You may sign this pledge and receive more information at https://decisionamericatour.com/

My Pledge to God

I pledge to honor God at home—by living biblical principles, striving for purity in or out of marriage, and pursuing godliness in all my relationships.
Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 6:9–11; Romans 12:10; John 13:34

I pledge to honor God in public

—by standing for biblical principles and serving those in need.
James 1:27; Isaiah 58:10; 1 Corinthians 16:13

I pledge to honor God with my vote

—supporting, where possible, candidates who will uphold biblical principles, while standing unified in Christ, not divided, for a kingdom divided against itself will be ruined.
Proverbs 14:34; Psalm 139:13; Matthew 19:4–6, Psalm 133:1, Luke 11:17

My Pledge to My Country.

I pledge to pray fervently and faithfully for America.

I pledge to be registered and to vote in every election—local, state, and federal—supporting, where possible, candidates who uphold biblical principles.

I pledge to engage in my community with God’s truth and prayerfully consider running for office.
