**Check out the archive-it is a beautiful reflection of the heart of God! HIS people are praying for the city and the enemy is being pushed back!

Keep the prayer walks coming!  We will collect your prayer walks as you submit them during the week and schedule the Prayer Walk Posts to go live on Sundays.

Inspired by Redeemer Presbyterian Church http://www.redeemer.com/redeemer-report/article/100_prayer_walks_of_summer in New York City, OurCityOnAHill is initiatiaing a Prayer Walk Movement to pray for the peace and prosperity of our city.

To do one, all you need is 15 minutes and a friend and then pray on location for a certain neighborhood.

So why should someone do a prayer walk and why now?

With our commitment to the city, we took the Psalmist’s admonition to “…pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.’For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, ‘Peace be within you.’” (Psalm 122:6-8).

Prayer walks deepen our roots in the communities in which we live, work and play and they deepen our love and appreciation for the city.

We would love to have y’all simply email (to ourcityonahill.net@gmail.com) a photo of you and your friend (or friends) and the streets y’all have chosen to “Prayer Walk”.

How cool would it be to end up having every street in our city covered? We say, “Why not set the bar high?”

Spread the word, and if EVERYONE simply started on their own street, and maybe the streets where we work, we would have at least half the city covered.

We will keep a running list of the streets named and a photo gallery of all our “Prayer Walkers”!

Pray-Gather-Get Creative (ex- Name your prayer duo or team)-Pick your street (or Streets)-use your phones as your camera and start “Prayer Walking”!

Let the Movement begin!
