One Year Anniversary of the Seven Mountain Prayer Initiative for Our City – August 15, 2016

Thank you for reading the 7 Mountain posts each week and agreeing in united prayer to change the spiritual climate in Huntsville/Madison County.
In honor of the one year anniversary of these postings on Our City On A Hill, and for those of you who have joined us recently, here is the Seven Mountain Prayer initiative objective and a review of what we have accomplished in a year!
Our objective is to pray in unity for HSV/Madison County over the 7 Mountains (mind molders) of culture: Religion (Church), Family, Government, Education, Business (Economy), Media, Arts & Entertainment. Our theme scripture is Proverbs 11:11 “Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.” We want our hearts of gratitude and unity to declare positive, scriptural blessings on our region that overcome murmuring and complaining (cursing). Because this is our city, we as the Body of Christ can repent of past and present day sin, and by faith in the sufficiency of Jesus’ sacrifice receive the cleansing and freedom that our community needs to flourish. Jeremiah 29:7 says, “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city ….. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
In one year we have prayed together for:
Government: our Mayors, Police Departments, Judges, Military
The government officials of our city are receiving Christ’s wisdom and living in the righteousness, truth and justice of God.
Education: our Superintendents, each High School, our Colleges and Universities, the School Boards, our graduates, our teachers and this new school year.
Our school systems and our educational leaders are being filled with Kingdom wisdom, values and truth.
Business: our Chamber of Commerce, area Retailers, our Hospitals, the unemployed, Big Picture HSV, Downtown HSV Inc., MidCity
Our city is growing and becoming fruitful through godliness and integrity so that every business and every individual will have all they need.
Media: each of our TV Stations, HSV Times/AL Media Group, all of our radio stations
The media of our city is being blessed to communicate Godly morals and values and to speak favorably of the gospel.
Arts & Entertainment: Arts Huntsville, the VBC, Panoply, Lowe Mill
The artists of our city are being blessed with a fresh Kingdom-minded creativity and technological excellence.
Family: for our Marriages, for Fathers, for Elderly, Hurting families, our Non-Profits that help families,
Every family and every marriage in our city is being blessed with peace, joy and love. The protection and goodness of God is filling every home.
Church: for our Pastors, Sunday School & Youth Leaders, for Unity and Awakening
The Body of Christ is being united to moved into the harvest fields of our city.
In Jesus Name, we believe that the people of Huntsville/Madison County are shifting their attention to God, accepting the truth of His Word, and receiving His forgiveness and love.
