Prayer Walk: Jones Valley Elementary

Dear Lord,

We thank you for Jones Valley Elementary.  We hold hands and stand in your midst as the fog slowly rises over this beautiful valley. Your creation amazes us and is a constant reminder that you are with us.  We pray for every single child that enters this building; That you would rule over any restless hearts.  That this school and the teachers within it would become a safe haven for the under loved, underfed and overstimulated. Whatever these kids deal with at home, from the moment they enter this building they would feel your sweet spirit over them. We pray you give them sound minds to learn and tender hearts to accept and love others.

We pray for the administration and teachers. We realize what a calling their careers are and we ask you to bless them here on earth as you will in heaven. Help us to speak words of life and encouragement to them so they can continue to speak it over our children. Do not allow the enemy to crush their spirits but may they find constant refuge and encouragement in you. Help us to find new ways to support them. May their hands not feel tied by government, may they find confidence in your word and know the power of the Holy Spirit rules over any laws of this land.

Heavenly Father, search our hearts and bring to light anything not pleasing to you.  May our motives always be pure and not self-seeking.  Teach us to put others before ourselves. Help us to see families that look or speak differently than ours as your handiwork and that they are equally created in your image.  Lord, make the circumstances of the rezoning bring Glory to you.  May our families be called to go beyond meeting physical needs.  Show us how to build new relationships that draw others near to you.

We confess our complacency with so many of the blessings you have given us.  Renew us and turn every part of our being toward you.  May we be Kingdom minded this school year. We pray you do such amazing things, that when people see this beautiful school on a hill,  they know it’s by your hands and mighty power that we flourish!
