Prayers for Our City: Church
For God is the King of all the earth…God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy Throne.
The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted! Ps. 47:7-9
How good to pause and remember that You, Father God, are the King! We bow in loving adoration to You, Oh King and God and Father of our hearts. How we praise You for the peace that brings!
Enable Your children to fully understand and function in the the position of royalty and authority we have been given by You, Oh Lord Most High! As we worship before You today, we acknowledge and honor You as the God who reigns over the nations – the great King over all the earth – over every mountain of culture.
Thank You for giving each of us a shield of faith. Our hearts’ cry is that You would enable us to unite our faith (AS ONE!); that together we may provide a protective prayer shield around our families, our churches, our schools, our work places, and this city and region.
We look to You, our God and King, and humbly pray for this unity in the Church and for the linking of prayer shields (intercessory networking) throughout our city and state.
