Prayers for Our City: February 18, 2019 – Education

“Therefore He says, ‘Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”  Ephesians 5:14 NKJV

We pray, Lord, for Your blessing and favor on the Collegiate Day of Prayer (CDOP) 2/28/19. Thank You for this annual designated day (last Thursday of February) for believers across the nation to unite and cover every campus in America in prayer. We ask that the spark from this one-day initiative will ignite a firestorm of prayer for our colleges and universities and we will once again see student awakenings that change the culture and moral climate of our schools. We know the time is now and the need is desperate!

[Please contact https://collegiatedayofprayer.org to “adopt” a local campus or two (or any other campus in the nation) and commit that you will pray on February 28.]

Thank You, Father, for the privilege of covering our area colleges and universities with Your peace, protection, purity, provision and Your PRESENCE! We humbly ask You to pour out Your Spirit on our local campuses in answer to our united prayer on behalf of Alabama A&M University, Calhoun Community College, Faulkner University, J. F. Drake State Community & Technical College, Oakwood University, University of Alabama in Huntsville, Strayer University, Florida Institute of Technology – Huntsville.  [Any missed?]

Please devote time in your family devotions, at lunch with praying colleagues, or via phone with a friend on Thursday, February 28, as we unite in prayer to bless our campuses and cry out for a move of God. Pray as Holy Spirit leads for these campuses that exist as communities within our community; that God would prepare the next generation of leaders that will impact all 7 Mountains of culture in our city and the cities of our nation.
