Prayers for Our City: January 20, 2020 – Life

“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalm 139:16 NLT

We praise and thank You, Father God, for life and how much value You place on each and every one of us! We are agreeing with the prayers that were lifted up by the Church on Sanctity of Life Sunday (January 19) and we stand with those who will be “boots on the ground” this Friday, January 24, at the 47th Annual March for Life in Washington, DC to declare that every life is to be celebrated, valued, and protected! Give great favor to this year’s theme: Life Empowers: Pro-Life is Pro-Woman. We pray for Americans to understand and embrace that pro-life is pro-woman and for this message to resonate and spread across our nation!

Thank You for HPRC (Huntsville Pregnancy Resource Center), a ministry of Choose Life of North Alabama since 1981. Fill the staff and volunteers led by Executive Director, Trish Morris, with compassion and wisdom as they provide free and confidential help for those facing pregnancy-related decisions. [Be sure you know the HPRC contact info to share with anyone in need.]

Father, we repent of this epidemic of discarded children in our community and across our nation. Cause us to win the battle to shift our nation’s mind and conscience to place the value that You have placed on our smallest citizens. We bless and pray for Your provision for all ministries and agencies in the Huntsville/Madison County area that defend the unborn and work to connect Christ-centered families to the children in desperate need of homes to call their own. Thank You for Choose Life of Northern AL, Huntsville Pro-Life, Hope’s Treasure (Rock FWC), Agape of North Alabama, Lifeline of AL, 40 Days for Life, Kids to Love, and many others.

“Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from Him.” Psalm 127:3
