Prayers for Our City: June 18, 2018 – Church
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 ESV
Father, we join together to pray for the safety and effectiveness of every summer mission trip. Whether going as an individual or team, we bless those who are giving their hearts and time to be Jesus hands and feet and merciful love to the nations. [Pray for those you know from your church or ministry that have been or will be traveling on Kingdom work missions].
Thank You for these going in Your Name. We pray sensitivity to the leading of Holy Spirit for them. We ask that You give them strength, good health, and the ability to make quick adjustments to time and cultural changes. May all team members and translators be bold and creative in sharing their faith and praying for those they are sent to and those they encounter while traveling.
We pray that You would be glorified by every aspect of these trips. May each team member and every person they encounter have a personal and powerful encounter with You, God! May Your unconditional love radiate in and through these teams. We pray a hedge of protection around the entire trip and that satan would be bound from distracting anyone from hearing the voice of God as Your Word is proclaimed with life-transforming power!
And of course, Lord, we remember with honor and gratitude our full-time missionaries, many serving You in very dangerous circumstances. We cover them with Your mighty promises of protection and rest from Psalm 91.
“…under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield…” Psalm 91:4
