Prayers for our Local Government

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren
to dwell together in unity!”  Ps, 133:1

We thank You, Lord, for the following recognition of unity and cooperation in our city and region:

“The  City of Huntsville, surrounding Tennessee Valley communities, and Redstone Arsenal were honored on Dec. 6th during a ceremony at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., where they received the Army Community Partnership award which recognizes communities and Army installations who work together to enhance readiness, cost savings and quality of life.

The Army noted Huntsville’s work to improve Redstone’s infrastructure through improvements to Goss Road, Martin Road and Gate 9, the EUL public-private partnership, and officer housing. The Huntsville and Tennessee Valley – Redstone Arsenal partnership is one of five communities honored in the Army’s 2016 awards program.”   (See the full report at  http://www.huntsvilleal.gov/team-redstone-honored-pentagon-army-community-partnership-award/ )

Once again, Father, we thank You for the leadership of our region and ask that You guide them in wisdom and integrity; equipping and empowering them by Your Spirit in their calling and gifting.  We pray for their hearts to be teachable and that they allow You to mold them into the servant-leader that Your Son modeled.

We ask that You help them guard and prioritize their time.  We bless their health, their marriages and families.  We pray for each one to know Your unconditional love.

We bless:

Col. Tom Holliday, Garrison Commander, Redstone Arsenal

Mayor Tommy Battle, Huntsville

Mayor Paul Finley, Madison

Chairman Dale Strong, Madison County Commission
