In 2015, over 2800 Christians served from 68 different congregations, and worked 230 projects impacting over 9.000 people in our communities!

For 2017, there will be a Spring Serving the City in April, and also a Summer Serving the City in June. Also, new this year, STC has partnered with Alabama A&M as the North Hub to provide projects for hundreds of A&M students and volunteers! We need many project leaders from area churches to help provide leadership in every area. We will be working in home improvement, working in the CASA garden, building wheelchair ramps, working with cleaning yards and neighborhoods with Operation Green Team, painting at several ministries and agencies, landscaping an area school, and more.

Several Pastor Quotes:
“When I think of serving the city as one, I think of two things, the first thing is “Service” and the second is “Unity”. Jesus himself prayed that we may be one, and because we are His, we are servants as well. Therefore, for us to serve this city as one is the will of God.” – Pastor of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. O Wendell Davis

“The way the church is going to make a difference in our world is by being the hands and feet of Christ! Serving the City As One is a great opportunity for all churches to unite under the umbrella of servant leadership and make a difference in our community. What a great opportunity for folks to give a few hours of their time and to make a positive impact for Christ!” – Pastor of Good Shepherd UMC, David Tubbs

“In a world that wonders, Serving the City as One is a great way to put the love of God on display through our churches serving together as a show of our unity. Let me encourage you to consider joining with us for this informational meeting on how you can be a part of this great endeavor.” – Executive Pastor of Crosspointe Church, Garry Jordan

“Serving the City is a way to give a few hours of your time in order to have a great Kingdom impact on the community. The wonderful byproduct of this ministry is that everyone who participates is not only a blessing to others, but he or she receives a blessing that comes through Christian service. That makes a powerful combination for the glory of God.” – Pastor of First Baptist Church, Huntsville, David Hull
